Cindy Tiu, DO
Dr. Cindy Tiu is a dedicated physician passionate about providing innovative and straightforward procedures to help patients reclaim their lives. She completed her fellowship in interventional pain management at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, and graduated from the physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
"People with chronic pain now have more treatment options than ever before. The procedures I perform can offer long-term relief with little to no recovery period. I understand the challenges of surgical recovery firsthand, having undergone ACL reconstructive surgery during my college tennis career. There are numerous ways to bridge the gap between conservative management and major surgeries."
Dr. Tiu's interventional pain management options include using electrical impulses to alter how nerves respond to pain, peripheral nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, minimally invasive decompression, and implantable devices. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of physical activity and lifestyle changes. As a fitness enthusiast and certified Lagree (Pilates) instructor, she practices what she preaches. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, working out, running, hiking, and indulging in warm chocolate chip cookies or refreshing ice cream.
